Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
About these terms
This website is operated by Open Horizons, a humanitarian foundation registered in Luxembourg with its headquarters at 36, Rue du Moulin à Vent, 9541 Wiltz. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Donations
Donations are processed by Stripe, a regulated payment provider. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never stored on our servers.
Donations are voluntary and, once processed, are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where a payment was made in genuine error. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us through the form on this website within 14 days and we will review it.
Receipts are issued to the email address given at the time of donation. Tax deductibility depends on your country of residence, and we recommend checking with your own tax adviser.
Sponsorships
Sponsorships are recurring commitments that can be paused or cancelled at any time by contacting our team. Sponsorship funds are pooled at programme level so that no child's education depends on a single donor continuing.
Volunteering
Submitting a volunteer application does not create an employment relationship or guarantee a placement. All placements are subject to our safeguarding procedures, including training and, where a role involves contact with children, background checks.
Accuracy of content
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current. Programme figures, impact statistics and financial summaries reflect our most recent verified reporting at the time of publication.
Intellectual property
Text, imagery, logos and branding on this site are the property of Open Horizons or are used under licence, and may not be reproduced without written permission. Journalists may use assets from our Media Centre under the terms set out there.
Third-party links
This site links to partner and provider websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Open Horizons is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the courts of Luxembourg have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
